Assisted Living is not a nursing home, adult foster home or convalescent home although we do perform some of those functions. Assisted Living is for people who want to live independently but need help with some of the activities of daily living such as cooking, cleaning and household maintenance. Quarterly assessments conducted by our wellness staff assure that additional help is provided when appropriate.
Imagine a luxury cruise ship with additional personal services. Live in a private stateroom, dine restaurant style in an elegant dining room and participate in a host of social activities making new friends along the way. Personal services from medication assistance to escorts to dining and activities can be added any time needs or desires change.

At Sunshine Villa we practice a "Personal Preferences" philosophy of service which allows residents to choose how to live each day in our community. Our assessments and service plans focus on residents' identified routines, preferences and abilities. We will work to customize our services to include preferences regarding dining, activities, housekeeping and personal care. We strive to respect and preserve our residents' independence and sense of freedom, while being sensitive to when intervention and assistance is warranted. Whenever and however possible, we will tailor services, care and activities to each individual resident.
