Management TeamBarbara Quinton, Director of Community RelationsBarbara joined the Sunshine Villa team in the spring of 2006. She entered the health industry in 2005 after an extensive career in marketing, advertising and public relations. In her spare time, Barbara enjoys hiking, biking, swimming, tennis, golf and playing with her grandchildren. Darcy Yaley, Activities DirectorDarcy joined Sunshine Villa in the Spring of 2007. She enjoys working with residents and brainstorming creative new activities and social programs. Adopted from South Korea at two years of age, she grew up near Yosemite National Park, CA. Darcy loves to entertain, and spend time in the nearby state parks in her free time. Carrie Kowieski, Personal Preferences CoordinatorCarrie was born and raised in Indiana and attended college at the University of Dayton in Ohio. Shortly after graduating she worked in the Marketing Department at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for about four years, and then moved to Guatemala to volunteer with a nonprofit organization. Upon returning to the U.S. Carrie learned that the position of Personal Preferences Coordinator had become available at Sunshine Villa. She found it to be the perfect job and felt at home. On days off she enjoys hiking, biking, cooking, baking, traveling, going to concerts, dancing and spending time with friends. Kinesha Miller, Kingswood Court Program CoordinatorAs the Memory Care Coordinator, Kinesha ensures that the residents of Kingswood Court are well cared for. Kinesha began exploring elder care in 2005. It was not until establishing relationships with elders that she recognized how to utilize her gift for working with older people wholeheartedly. Since working with Sunshine Villa, Kinesha has formed lasting relationships with resident family members, resident assistants and the administrative staff. Kinesha plans to work with Sunshine Villa for many years to come. Jill Sweeney, Food Services DirectorJill is enjoying her new career at Sunshine Villa after a long culinary career. She most recently worked at the Carmel Valley Ranch Resort and the Seascape Resort. In addition to starting and owning three businesses, Jill has earned a Bachelor's of Science in business, specializing in hospitality, hotel and restaurant management, Cathy Dobbins, Business Office ManagerCathy has come to Sunshine Villa with over 20 years of experience in office management, property management and small business organization. As a mother of two teenagers, she has enjoyed the last 17 years volunteering in various youth organizations. Her volunteerism for Girl Scouts has been very fulfilling as she has served as a troop leader, service unit manager, trainer and camp director. Bob Niethold, Maintenance DirectorBob joined Sunshine Villa with 14 years of experience as a Commercial Fisherman and Shipwright. Bob loves working with the residents at the community and has made many friends in his time at Sunshine Villa. Teresa Rocha, Housekeeping CoordinatorTeresa has been with Sunshine Villa since 2000 and became the Housekeeping Coordinator two years ago. She was born in Mexico and came to the United States in 1970. She loves working at Sunshine Villa and all of the residents know and love her. |
